FRUIT HEIGHTS, Utah — A man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attempting to murder his estranged wife, according to a press release.
Davis County Police said 25-year-old Kristopher Lee Ertmann and his estranged wife met at a park in Fruit Heights on Tuesday to discuss the details of their separation. Officers said sometime during the meeting, Ertmann pulled out a sharp object and cut his wife in the neck area.
According to police, the woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive her injuries.
Officers said they have arrested Ertmann on suspicion of attempted murder. He was booked into the Davis County Jail.
