Dogs rescued near Utah State Fair Park

Posted

Salt Lake City — Two dogs were spotted stuck in the water and mud Thursday behind the Utah State Fair Park.

Several police officers and firefighters tried to reach the animals, but the raft they were on scared the dogs away.

According to Jasen Asay, Salt Lake City Fire Department, the dogs got stuck after chasing a duck into the Jordan River. The animals were able to get out on their own and swam to the shore.

Although they did not have identifying markers, but officers believe the dogs are pets because they were friendly and domesticated. The dogs are with Salt Lake County Animal Services.
