Search and rescue teams from Cache County have located a missing 21-year-old camper Thursday afternoon.
Jerry Gilbert Stevie Duran was found in good condition walking down a road, according to Sgt. Jake Peterson, Cache County Sheriff's Office.
"He seemed a little bit confused as we approached him," said Sgt. Peterson. "He seems to be fine, he seems to be in good health. He has had a sandwich now and some water, so he is doing much better."
Duran was reported missing at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Crews searched the Curtis Creek and Six-Bit Hollow areas of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
Duran was described as having the mental capacity of a 7-year-old
The Cache County search and rescue crews were aided by crews from the Rich County Sheriff's Office and by search dogs.
Sgt. Peterson said Duran left his campsite after a small altercation with his family.
