SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police said a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing earlier this month has returned home.
Mharina Acciaio had phoned home on July 16, but had not been heard from since.
Mharina was dropped off downtown on the morning of July 16 by someone with the Division of Child and Family Services.
The division has been working with the teen and her family for several months, according to Acciaio, who said he gave someone in the division permission to drop his daughter off where they did.
Police said detectives are working on the case and no further details can be released due to the ongoing investigation.
