A study by the Cato Institute found welfare pays more than a minimum wage job in 35 states.
Furthermore, in 13 states, welfare pays more than $15 an hour. Federal minimum wage is $7.25.
The information was reported in a Fox News article that noted “little incentive” for Americans to seek or accept entry-level work.
