If you think you’ve found ‘the one’…you may be wrong!

Results of a poll from 2,000 adults find that 1 in 7 people are in relationships with someone that isn’t the love of their life.

More than half say they are ‘making do’ with their current love connection. Although some may not be with their true love, this doesn’t mean they aren’t head over heels for their partner.

Doctor Scott Bea is a clinical psychologist at Cleveland Clinic and said it’s important to not focus on the one who got away. He did not take part in the study.

He said, instead, you should celebrate your wins as a couple, There’s a percentage of people who end up marrying folks who aren’t the love of their life and even that being the case most of those couples actually can make it. so, i think it’s kind of uplifting because there may be other things that keep relationships together.”

Other findings show that one-third of people were in love with two people at the same time, and 17% admit meeting the love of their life after finding a long-term partner.
