WVC police search for robbery suspects

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Police are searching for two men who they said robbed a credit union in West Valley City Thursday.

The alleged robbery happened around 5 p.m. at a Cyprus Credit Union at 3500 West 4700 South.

Police said the two men entered the credit union, approached a teller and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled on foot.

West Valley City police Sgt. Justin Hauer said both of the men were armed.

“Both were carrying handguns, unknown at this time what kind of handgun they were,” he said.

Hauer said no shots were fired, and no one was injured in the robbery.

Officers described the first suspect as a 25-year-old man with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black baseball hat and jeans. He also has black hair.

The second suspect is described as a man in his early to mid-twenties. He was last seen wearing a gray baggy sweatshirt.
