ST. GEORGE, Utah — St. George police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Maverik store Thursday morning.
Officers said a man armed with a handgun approached the clerk at a Maverik located at 2078 East and Riverside Drive and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
The cashier was not injured by the suspect.
Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned man, approximately 5 feet 6 inches with a thin build. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, a black and white beanie hat and a red bandana around his face.
