PLEASANT GROVE, Utah – What happens when you put children in charge of fully weaponized ship on a mission to deep space?

Those who visit the Christa McAuliffe Space Center at Central Elementary School in Pleasant Grove get to find out.

The space center was closed for a few months for maintenance, but now it’s back open and kids are taking advantage of the fun learning opportunity. Children get to carry out missions involving scientific learning and freeing alien slaves. Check out the video above to see how the missions unfold.

The education center is finishing their fourth space ship, which is called the Odyssey. The ship should be completed by Oct. 11. Click here to learn more about space education centers in Utah.
