COTTLE COUNTY, Texas — A Utah man died Sunday after a helicopter crash Texas.
Texas Highway Patrol officers said Joshua Fitts, 34, from Hurricane was killed after the helicopter he was flying crashed in Cottle County.
According to a press release, Fitts was hovering the helicopter next to a power line stem in an effort to connect to the power line. The helicopter’s tail rotor clipped a sheave causing the helicopter to crash.
Fitts was pronounced dead at the scene.
