Kentucky bans handshakes after sporting events

(KDVR)– A tradition that goes back decades in many sports is becoming a thing of the past in Kentucky… the post-game handshake.

The High School Athletic Association says too many fights have broken out and it no longer supports post-game interaction.

Many coaches and parents say sportsmanship is one of the most important aspects of playing sports.

Many say they plan to organize a “good luck” gesture before games in place of saying “good game” afterwards.
