(WITI)– Anyone with kids knows that parents put in a whole lot of work — but a survey finds that it takes more of a toll on moms than it does on dads.
New analysis from the Pew Research Center finds that women are still taking on more of a work load at home.
Pew looked looked at stats from from the new “American Time Use Survey” done by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It revealed that while more dads are taking time to help out with kids and household chores, moms still spend twice as much time during the week doing the same tasks.
Still, despite all the hours at work and on the home-front, moms feel happier (even when doing chores).
The data also shows that dads still spend more time at work, on average, than mothers.
