(FOX 8)— A prep school headmaster is laying down the law when it comes to children’s birthday parties.
According to the UK Daily Mail, Headmaster Mark Brearey has told parents to invite the entire class when they throw a birthday party to avoid disappointing those left out.
Brearey wrote a letter to parents saying that distributing invitations to only a few select students in school goes against the school’s policy of inclusion for every single child ‘and is divisive and unkind.’
He also said if parents wanted to invite just a few of their child’s friends, they should do it privately, that way no one feels left out.
Critics of the new policy say including the entire class will drive up the cost of the party.
