COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah -- A cyclist is in stable condition after he was hit by a car in Cottonwood Heights Tuesday.
The accident happened at 7200 South Wasatch Blvd. near the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Officers said a woman was driving her vehicle northbound on Wasatch Blvd. when she hit a man on a bicycle. They said the woman didn't have any notice of the bicycle, which was trying to pull behind some stopped cars.
A medical helicopter responded to the scene and transported the man to an area hospital. Officers said the man was not wearing a helmet, and he suffered head trauma.
The man was previously listed in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
