DAVIS COUNTY — Search and rescue crews found a hiker that had been missing since Friday — this is the second time crews have had to rescue him this year, officials said.
Eric Kuntz, 52, was hiking the Great Western Trail above Fernwood Recreation area near Kaysville.
Kuntz said he began hiking Friday morning at about 8:30 a.m. and somehow lost track of the trail about six hours later.
Davis County Deputy Jamie Embley said the man’s family reported him missing around 11:00 p.m. Friday, and crews searched Friday night and Saturday morning.
He was found at approximately 10:30 a.m.
