SALT LAKE CITY -- The prime suspect in a violent, sexual assault at a West Valley City Burger King was in court Friday, but not for that case.
On Oct. 29,Justin Loyd Martinez, 25, reportedly followed a 20-year-old girl into the bathroom of a Burger King at 3500 S. 5600 West, and physically and sexually assaulted her, West Valley police said.
At the time of that attack, Martinez was already wanted by West Valley City police on fraud and forgery charges. Officers said he has been arrested three times in 2013, and six times total since 2008.
Martinez appeared in court Friday for the fraud and forgery charges, while West Valley City detectives met with the district attorney to screen charges in the alleged Burger King attack.
Martinez remains jailed on several felonies, including a $300,000 hold on the rape and aggravated kidnapping charges.
