COLORADO CITY, Ariz. — Children playing in the deserts southeast of this border town discovered human remains.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that the children discovered bones just outside the polygamous community. Detectives responded Monday to recover the remains. Identification and autopsy results are pending, deputies said.
The discovery of human remains is the second in two days for deputies. More remains were found Saturday afternoon near Topock. Two people discovered the remains near Needle Mountain Road, the sheriff’s office said.
Both cases are under investigation, deputies said.
