WEST JORDAN, Utah -- Brandi Mather teaches fifth grade at Hawthorn Academy, and she was named FOX 13 News' A + Teacher of the Week.
Those who know Mather said she makes her classes fun and finds hands-on projects for her students, including a lesson in extracting DNA from an onion.
