SALT LAKE CITY – High school football state championships were held at Rice-Eccles stadium in Salt Lake City Friday.
Bingham High School defeated Brighton High School 38 to 13 in the 5A championship game. Bingham finished the season with a 14-0 record and their third state title in five years.
In the 4A championship, Timpview High School took down the previously undefeated East High School 33 to 28. This was the second state championship in a row for Timpview.
Two southern Utah teams competed for the 3AA championship, and Desert Hills beat Pine View 27-21 to take home their first state title.
