WATERLOO, IL– It’s been a rough winter for those who live in the Midwest. Sure, kids might love having snow days right now… but when it comes to making them up, they aren’t too happy. That’s why one Illinois high school has decided to use e-learning on snow days.

“Seems a little overwhelming right now, but I think the idea of being out May 22nd period, I think come April or May we’re going to like that,” history teacher Matthew Schweizer told our sister station, KTVI.

Using a program called My Big Campus; students check in and get their assignments.

If they fail to log on, they’re marked as absent.
