Utes lose in OT, again

Posted

BOULDER, Colo.– The Utah men’s basketball team has had a number of close games this season, and most of them have ended with the Utes on the losing end.

So was the case on Saturday in Boulder when Colorado defeated Utah 79-75 in overtime. Usually reliable Jordan Loveridge was just 2-11 from the field, finishing with only four points.

Still, Utah led by six at halftime thanks to a boost of the bench from Ahmad Fields, who finished with nine points. Brandon Taylor scored a team-high 17, including a three-pointer at the end of regulation to tie the game at 65.

But Colorado never trailed in overtime, winning by four points and improving to 4-5 in the PAC-12 while the Utes drop to 3-6 in conference play.
