Jazz down and out in Dallas

Posted

DALLAS– The Utah Jazz had a three-day break before playing the Mavericks on Friday, but most of the team looked like they thought the break was four days.

Marvin Williams scored 11 of the first 13 points for Utah and had a team high 21, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Dallas won 103-81.

Trey Burke was next on the Jazz with 13 points but shot just 33 percent from the field. Monta Ellis led all scores with 22 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 20 for the Mavericks.

Utah returns home on Saturday to face the defending NBA champion Miami Heat.
