OGDEN, Utah — Crews responded to a house fire that left one dog dead early Monday morning.
According to Ogden City Fire officials, the fire started around 1 a.m. in a single family home at 1960 Jackson Avenue in Ogden.
Firefighters said the occupant of the home was able to get out before crews arrived, but one dog died in the fire.
Crews were able to contain the fire to one bedroom. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The occupant of the home has been displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross.
