Plane crashes in Davis County after losing power

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah – A pilot walked away uninjured after a plane lost power during takeoff and crashed Sunday afternoon.

According to information from the Woods Cross Police Department, the single-engine airplane took off from Skypark Airport around 2 p.m., lost power and crashed. Images of the crash show the plane upside down.

The 42-year-old pilot, “walked away from crash,” according to a tweet from Woods Cross police.

Police officials said the FAA is investigating. FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
