FRANKLIN COUNTY, Idaho — A Logan woman died from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in Idaho Saturday.
Franklin County officers said the accident happened in the Franklin Basin area around 3:30 p.m.
Officers said 21-year-old Raysha R. Nielsen from Logan was riding as a passenger on a snowmobile when the accident happened. They said while the driver was making a turn, the snowmobile suddenly accelerated and hit a tree. Witnesses said Nielsen was not responsive after the accident.
Emergency crews responded to the scene where they tried to revive Nielsen, but she later died from her injuries.
