Police search for suspect after 7-Eleven robbery

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for suspects after an aggravated robbery at a 7-Eleven store Thursday morning.

Officers said the robbery happened at the 7-Eleven at 480 South Redwood Road around 2:27 a.m.

According to police, a man walked into the store’s restroom with a dark blue gym bag. He then walked out of the restroom with a weapon and approached the counter demanding the cashier open the registers. He grabbed the cash and fled the store where he got into a vehicle parked on 500 South. The car was last seen heading eastbound on 500 South.

The suspect is described as a Pacific Islander, about 6 feet tall, large build and possibly in his 20s. He was wearing a blue shirt with a checkerboard design, blue Levis and a blue stocking cap. The driver of the getaway vehicle is described as a white male with dark curly hair wearing a light tan jacket.

The getaway vehicle is described as an ’80s-model white Chevy truck with a gold or tan shell.
