OGDEN, Utah — Ogden police are investigating after shots were fired following a police pursuit Tuesday night.
According to police, around 11 p.m. an officer with the Ogden City Police Department tried to stop a vehicle driven by Austin Luckey, 21, who was wanted for questioning in a residential burglary case. He was also on parole and had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
After a pursuit, Luckey stopped at 100 Fowler Ave. in Ogden where officers attempted to arrest him.
Officers said preliminary reports indicate Luckey rammed the pursuing patrol vehicle with his car and drew a handgun. Police responded and shots were fired. Lucky then surrendered and was taken into custody.
The suspect and officers were uninjured. The case is currently under investigation.
