WEST VALLEY CITY — A Tremonton couple is in serious condition after a two-vehicle collision in West Valley City Saturday morning.
At approximately 10 a.m. a 66-year-old male driver and his passenger, a 62-year-old woman, were traveling north in a Saturn when he ran a red light at 2105 W. Parkway Blvd, said Lt. Dalan Taylor with West Valley City Police.
A man traveling west in a Chevy Blazer hit the passenger car. Taylor said the impact pushed the Saturn 150 feet into the west lane.
The Tremonton couple was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The sole occupant of the blazer received minor injuries.
The westbound lane of traffic was shut down for approximately 45 minutes.
