TOOELE COUNTY — Two lost hikers were rescued by helicopter out of the Cedar Mountain range in Tooele County early Sunday morning.
The husband and wife parked at mile marker 70 off Interstate 80 to hike in the Dell area Saturday evening. The West Jordan couple hiked two miles south from the Dell gas station then went toward the ridge line when they got lost, said Sgt. Brad Patch with Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.
Dispatch received a call at approximately 1 a.m. from the couple reported they were lost. A helicopter from Utah Highway Patrol was dispatched to locate the hikers who were found in Hastings Pass.
The husband and wife were brought off the mountain and transported to Mountain West Medical Center to be treated for dehydration. Patch said the couple had no injuries.
