SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police arrested a man Thursday night after he allegedly fired several shotgun rounds in response to neighbors complaining he was being too loud.

According to a Salt Lake City Police Department watch log report, officers responded to a home near 200 S 1200 E around 10:24 after receiving several calls about shots being fired.

Witnesses told police Bryson Lance, 28, was intoxicated and making too much noise while he was outside on a porch with his 4-year-old son.

Police said a neighbor asked Lance to stop being loud and suggested he should take the boy inside.

According to the watch log report, Lance became angry and upset with the neighbor, then went inside and came back out with a shotgun and fired it several times.

No one was hit by the shotgun blasts, police said.

Lances was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on several charges, including child endangerment, the watch log report said.

The Division of Child & Family Services was notified of the incident and the boy was taken to the Christmas Box House Shelter for kids.
