1,500 feet of copper wire stolen from trucks in Tooele County

Tooele County, Utah — Copper wire was stolen from two trucks working with Rocky Mountain Power in Rush Valley in Tooele County.

The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office said it happened sometime between 5 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Approximately 1,500 feet of copper wire was taken as well as some tools.

The trucks belong to Newman Construction, which is a contractor that works with Rocky Mountain Power. They were working at the intersection of Meadow Lane and Main Street at a Rocky Mountain Power substation.
