Video: Burglar steals bagels, beans in coffee shop caper

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of burglarizing a local coffee shop in May.

Salt Lake City Police released surveillance video of the suspect breaking into Caffe Expresso, 902 S. 1100 East, in the early hours of May 23. The video shows the suspect smashing the service window and taking bagels and chocolate-covered espresso beans from the counter inside the window.

Police have described the suspect as a white male in his late teens to early 20s with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a denim vest, jeans and a white t-shirt.

The video shows the man was carrying a skate board and possibly a shoulder bag.

Police say the suspect cut himself and left behind DNA evidence.
