FantasyCon event brings ‘heroes’ to hospital

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY --  A group of cosplayers visited Shriners Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City Thursday to spread some cheer among children at the facility.

The group knew many of the children wouldn't be able to attend FantasyCon in July, so they decided to bring part of the experience to the hospital.

The event was coordinated with families connected to eight different local charities that serve children with special needs or children who are critically ill. The costumed characters included a wide range, from Princess Ariel to Darth Vader to Batman.
