SALT LAKE CITY – One person is at the hospital with minor injuries after a Utah Transit Authority TRAX train derailed downtown.

Authorities said the blue line and the green line are affected and passengers should plan for delays, especially if going to the airport.

UTA Transit Police Lt. Alex Blauer said the front car of a blue line train went left and the second car tried to go right which derailed the train.

About 30 people are on board during the accident near S. Temple and 400 S.

Lt. Blauer said derailment issues are not that common.

He said crews hope to have the accident cleaned up by 6 p.m.
