SALT LAKE CITY- Utah Jazz Draft picks Danté Exum and Rodney Hood, along with members of the Jazz coaching and operations staff, hosted a private basketball clinic today for 30 Special Olympics Utah athletes.
Exum said doing the clinic and wearing the jersey has been a good debut on his second day with the Jazz.
“It’s been a cool experience you know its only my second day being with the Utah Jazz so getting out here and supporting some of the kids, it was good just to have a good laugh and smile with them,” said Exum.
Hood said while it’s only been a short time, he already feels like a part of the family.
“Its been an amazing time, you know its been a short time but I already feel like I’m part of the family. They work with me and Danté with open arms and just to get a chance to come out here today and make some people’s day, you know it felt great,” said Hood.
The one hour clinic at Zions Bank Basketball Center included player introductions, on-the-court basketball drills, and a tour of the locker room.
