TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Emergency responders were dispatched to an all-terrain vehicle crash in Tooele County Thursday evening, and officials said a woman was being transported by air with critical injuries.
Officials with the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to FOX 13 News that the victim in the ATV crash is a 30-year-old female from Sandy.
The accident occurred in the west desert of Tooele County, and deputies said the woman was in the area for a family outing. Officials said the woman rolled her ATV and was unconscious for a short time. She regained consciousness by the time emergency responders arrived and was talking when she was loaded into a medical helicopter.
Officials said the woman was not wearing a helmet or other safety gear.
