SALT LAKE CITY – If you’re planning to have a few drinks to celebrate Independence Day, AAA wants to give you and your car a free ride home.
AAA’s Tipsy Tow program is open to everyone, not just AAA members.
From 6 p.m. July 4 until 6 a.m. on July 5 throughout Utah, anyone can call (800) 222-4357 for a free tow home up to 10 miles.
Just tell the AAA operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and a truck will be on its way.
If you have other passengers who need a ride, they can ride as well as long as there is room in the tow truck.
Officials with AAA said they want people to have fun in a responsible way.
Reservations for this service are not offered.
