Police chase ends in car accident on Redwood Road, police say

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A high-speed chase through West Valley City ended after the suspects’ vehicle was involved in a crash on Redwood Road Tuesday evening.

At approximately 7:45 p.m. police pursued a vehicle with two men identified as armed robbery suspects, police say.

The chase ran west on 3500 South to about 400 West. In the area of 3500 South and Redwood Road police attempted to spike the tires of the suspects’ vehicle.

Police say the suspects avoided the spikes but ended up crashing into another vehicle where three people inside were injured.

It is unknown what the injuries the suspects’ sustained.

The intersection of 3500 South and Redwood Road is currently closed because of the accident, according to a tweet from Utah Department of Transportation.
