Authorities searching for armed suspect in Salt Lake City gas station robbery

SALT LAKE CITY - Authorities are searching for an armed suspect accused of robbing a gas station.

Crews were called to the Shell gas station near 500 E. and 2100 S. at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police said a man walked into the gas station wearing a black wig, showed a gun and demanded money.

Officials said no one was seriously injured.

"We had a number of units respond, including a K9 unit, trying to locate the individual," Salt Lake City Police Lt. Carl Merino said. "We weren't able to find him."

Authorities said the suspect is a Caucasian man in his late teens or early 20s.

He is just under six feet tall.

Salt Lake City police said they would like to speak with you if you have any information.
