MURRAY, Utah — Murray Mayor Ted Eyre hosted the Alzheimer’s Association Walk kickoff Tuesday.
Four walks will take place during September to help raise awareness. One of the walks will be held at Murray Park on Sept. 13.
The walk is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
“Ten percent of the dollars we raise from this walk go towards research so that is one of the most important things we can do right now is support research to help find a cure and prevent the disease,” said Ronnie Daniel with the Utah Alzheimer’s Association.
