Power outage planned for portion of Salt Lake City Wednesday evening

SALT LAKE CITY – Rocky Mountain Power Officials said about 4,000 residents in the Rose Park area will be without power service for several hours Wednesday evening as crews work to repair damage to a power pole.

The outage is expected to begin at 8 p.m. and continue for about two hours; it is located in the area of 600 North to 2300 North and 1200 West to I-215.

Officials said not all customers in that area will experience outages.

According to information from Rocky Mountain Power, a vehicle accident severely damaged a power pole in the Rose Park area Wednesday afternoon.
