TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – Crews responded to a crash involving a motorcycle in Taylorsville Saturday, and a victim was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
According to information from the Unified Police Department, officials are investigating a motorcycle crash in the area of 4500 S. Atherton Drive.
Officials said a 24-year-old man was traveling west on 4500 South, and witnesses reported the man ran a red light and struck a Honda that was waiting to turn left. The man on the motorcycle was thrown off and traveled a few dozen feet after the impact.
Police said the man suffered leg and head injuries and was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition. They said the man was not wearing a helmet. The woman in the Honda that was hit by the motorcycle was not injured.
