SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State Fair opened Thursday, marking the 159th year of the fair.
The 10-day event features activities for the entire family, food, livestock and live performances. Event organizers said this year is an improvement over last, as the weather is more suited to the event.
“Last year almost literally killed us, and it rained almost every day,” said Jeff Kooring, who is the director of marketing and sales for the fair. “So this year we couldn’t ask for better weather.”
The state fair continues until September 14, click here to visit their website for more information regarding the fair.
Recently, lawmakers toured the fairgrounds while working out the future of the fair, which has struggled financially. Click here for details.
