MIAMI – Outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is recovering after a nasty accident on the field.
The MLB star for the Miami Marlins took a fastball to the face.
Stanton was carted off the field after the 88-mph pitch hit him under his left eye.
The play ended his season after he suffered facial lacerations and fractures.
Stanton posted a picture of his injuries on Instagram.
