CEDAR HILLS, Utah – A family of seven escaped their burning home unharmed but the four-legged member of their family didn’t make it out.
Fire officials said the husband, wife and their four children are safe thanks to working smoke detectors.
However, the family dog wasn’t as lucky.
It took firefighters almost an hour to contain the blaze.
Officials estimate about $250,000 in damage to the home near N. Canyon Rd. and 9600 N.
Fire crews have not confirmed what sparked the fire.
