2 injured after vehicle rolls, lands on its roof

WEST JORDAN, Utah – Two people were injured in a rollover crash that occurred in West Jordan Friday night.

Officials with the West Jordan Police Department said a woman lost control of her vehicle in the area of 7000 South and 1300 West around 10:30 p.m.

The Mini Cooper convertible rolled and landed on its roof. A boy inside was able to crawl out of the vehicle, but the female driver was stuck and had to be extracted by crews using the jaws of life.

The boy suffered minor injuries and the woman suffered injuries officials described as being serious but not life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials said they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
