Search and rescue crews respond near Wall Lake; teen flown to area hospital

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – A 15-year-old boy was taken to an area hospital via medical helicopter Saturday after he fell near Wall Lake in the Uinta-Wasatch Cache National Forest.

Fire officials in south Summit County said the boy fell about 20 feet and his rescue required the efforts of Summit County Search and Rescue’s high angle team.

It is not clear if the teen was in the area alone or as part of a group. Specific details regarding the nature and severity of the victim’s injuries were not immediately clear.
