WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Southbound lanes of I-215 at 3500 South in West Valley City are scheduled to be closed Saturday night and into Sunday morning as crews perform maintenance work on the I-215 bridge over 3500 South.
According to information from the Utah Department of Transportation, the lanes could close as early as 11 p.m. Saturday and are expected to reopen by 8 a.m. Sunday.
Traffic on southbound I-215 will be routed to the on and off ramps at 3500 south, and drivers will be able to continue south on I-215 but should expect delays and consider alternate routes, such as I-15 or Bangerter Highway.
UDOT officials said the work on the bridge over 3500 South will extend the life of the road and provide a smoother ride for drivers. For the latest information on road conditions and closures, visit UDOT’s website.
