CORVALLIS, Ore. — Devontae Booker carried the Utes to a double overtime win against Oregon State Thursday night.
The junior running back rushed for 229 yards on 32 carries and scored all three Utah touchdowns, including the game-winner, in the Utes 29-23 win.
Oregon State took a 13-9 lead in the fourth quarter on a 72-yard touchdown pass from Sean Mannion to Jordan Villamin. But the Utes answered with a 94-yard drive to retake the lead.
Booker made the big play in that drive with a 53 yard run, and he capped the drive with a touchdown run on fourth and goal from the one yard line to put the Utes up 16-13.
The Beavers made a 49-yard field goal at the end of regulation to force overtime.
Booker gave the Utes the lead in the first overtime with a 15 yard touchdown run, but the Beavers answered with another touchdown pass from Mannion to Villamin to force a second overtime. Oregon State missed a field goal attempt in double overtime, setting up Booker’s winning run.
The Utes are now 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Pac-12 Conference.
