SALT LAKE CITY—Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a Salt Lake City Shell gas station early Sunday morning.
According to police, the suspect entered the Shell gas station at 502 East and 2100 South around 2:50 a.m. The suspect approached the female working behind the counter and demanded cash from the register.
Salt Lake City Police say the man threatened the attendant with a gun and she noticed an imprint of what looked like a weapon in his sweatshirt pocket. The attendant complied with the suspect and gave him cash.
Once the attendant gave him the money, police say the suspect fled westbound on foot and headed south on 500 East.
Officers say they arrived on the scene almost immediately, but believe the suspect may have had a car parked nearby for a faster getaway.
The suspect is described as a five-foot-eight male weighing 150 pounds. Police say he was wearing a gray hoodie, white-washed jeans, a black mask and black gloves.
